Bodybuilding Nutrition Guide: Food vs. Supplements
This question has sparked great debate in the body building industry. There are those who say that supplements are the most important when it comes to increasing a body builder’s muscle building progress, while others suggest that the food you eat in your diet is the most important factor which will determine whether a bodybuilder is going to succeed.
However when it comes to which is the most important when it comes determining a bodybuilders progress, the answer is not that simple as people believe. For those who believe that the use of supplements is not recommendable for a bodybuilder there main argument is that some of these bodybuilding supplements are toxic for the body and may cause some serious side effects for the bodybuilder. They argue that a good diet is sufficient enough to supply the body with enough nutrients to enable a bodybuilder achieve muscle growth.
Those who support the use of steroids argue out that not all bodybuilding supplements are toxic for the body. They suggest the use of steroids which are not steroidal supplements but the use of herbal organic steroids. A bodybuilder will only experience side effects such as; enlargement of the clitoris, irregularity of the menstrual cycle, growth of facial hair in women, shrinking of testicles in men, low sperm count, decrease in libido, baldness, kidney problems, liver conditions, heart ailments, insomnia, increase in aggression, and depression when they use steroidal based bodybuilding supplements. If they use herbal bodybuilding supplements there is no way they can become toxic for the body. They argue that the food we take nowadays does not contain sufficient amount of nutrients because they are grown in depleted soils. Apart from that nowadays it is very difficult to find foods which are organic because most of them have been made artificially or in other words a majority of the foods are GM (genetically modified) foods. It is a well known fact that GM foods do not contain plenty of nutrients compared to organic foods.
The reality of the matter is that if you are a hard trainer you require using a proper diet plus bodybuilding supplements for you to be able to achieve fast muscle growth. You need to use bodybuilding supplements which are rich in creatine. Creatine supplements are very important when it comes to aiding your performance. If you use creatine properly it will work wonders in terms of helping you achieve your bodybuilding goals.
You should also take supplements which contain plenty of vitamins and multivitamins. Although the food we take is naturally expected to supply the body with these nutrients, as a bodybuilder your body requires more of these nutrients than the body of an ordinary person. This is because as a bodybuilder it is expected of you to train intensely in the gym. The levels provided though normal foods are not sufficient to meet the required levels needed by the body to undertake intense training. Therefore in conclusion food and bodybuilding supplements are of equal importance when it comes to helping a person gain muscles mass.
