I use for MEAL REPLACEMENT...lost 20 pounds!

This is obviously considered a weight gainer and it serves its purpose well...however after years of trying to gain weight and bench my life away, I decided at 27 I would like to "look smart" in a suit instead of look tough in a T shirt. I started body for life and found that the key element to being healthy and loosing weight was eating about 350 calories every 3 hours. (I am 6ft and started at 210 pounds). TWO scoops in stead of 3 if true mass was perfect for me. High quality and amazing tasting chocolate. I am 190 now and feel great...down to a 34 waist and am ordering my 3rd bottle.

I've always been naturally thin and drop dead gorgeous ha ha just kidding. I've been taking True-Mass for a month now and have gained 5 pounds of muscle, which before, would have been impossible to do. The three recommended scoops blend easily with milk or water, unlike other generic weight gainers, that throw in a shovel with their product, and the ending shake feels like mud going down your throat. I don't get that bloated, gassy feeling like I got after drinking muscle milk. This is a great product and ships fast! I recommend the vanilla flavor just because of its versatility. Mix it with a little chocolate syrup and two cups of milk and get a 1,000 calorie shake. Or, mix in a little cherry kool-aid powder with a bottled water and you get a shake that taste like a Misty Freeze from Dairy Queen.
Best gainer I've tried.

I've tried many weight gainers over the years and this one is amazing. It mixes super easily in any amount of water without any residue or particles. It tastes great, like a real milkshake. It doesn't fill you up or leave you bloated, apparently that's how it kickstarts your body's anabolic processes. The fact that it isn't heavy or bloating also allows you to keep eating and really pack on those calories you need to build.
Oustanding!!!!

Taste great!!
You might want to add water instead of milk, b/c its kind of filling if u use milk with 3 scoops.
Very good, mixes well and tastes good.

Ive tried quite a few protiens; It tastes great and im not just saying that, ive have my share of different protiens and this is by far the best. Not super sweet or sandy like muscle milk and its not gassy like Whey. Gives you good energy and Great results. I recomend buying frozen fruits(mixed, strawberries, or even just a banana) and mixing it with the vanilla flavor. The chocolate i suggest with just milk or water, it's a perfect flavor.
Declicious strawberry flavor and balanced nutrition

This is the most delicious strawberry protein I have tried. And I have tried a lot of strawberry proteins from EAS, Myoplex, MetRX. But BSN's TRUE-MASS is the best. And it already has a well balanced mix of carbohidrates, protein and good fats. All you have to do is add cold water. Just great!!

I bought this product for my daughter who had lost a lot of weight after jaw surgery that had left her mouth wired shut for 6 weeks. It helped and according to this picky teenager, it tasted pretty good.

I have tried a lot of proteins over the past few years and have had trouble gaining mass because of my body type. However, since I tried true mass along with NO-explode, i've gained about 5 lbs, which is substantial for me. This protein also mixes better than most with a simple shaker and water and tastes good (i've only used chocolate). I'm going to stick with this for a while!
Awesome Product.

I got this product and had a shake, mixed with a banana, once a day, immediately following a hard workout with weights. Over the past year I've weighed on average about 160 lbs without gaining much. After 2 days of using this product, in addition to protein powder once a day, I gained weight. I now walk around 8 - 10 pounds heavier in JUST 2 DAYS! not lying
Great :)

I love this! it's the 2cond weight gainer I try but I've also tried some pretty bad taste shakes etc and the chocolate flavor is really yummy. I put a banana, rice milk and the result is a delicious cold drink ;) Also it doesn't give me the bloated feeling so I can still eat a little more solid foods after drinking it.

Reviewer: Demetrius Byrts,
Very good supplement been using this product since June 1st and while taking it i've gained 2 lbs. and increased my bench by 10 lbs. I will say that sometimes it doesn't mix well though leaving large clunks of the powder on the sides of the glass/bottle.

Another tip I found that works very good is to mix it with coffee. I found that when I did that it mixed very well and gave me added energy making for better workouts. So overall this is a very good product if taken correctly.
Vanilla...eh, not so much...

May work as a weight gainer, but the vanilla has an odd smell and weird after-taste. I tried the Syntha-6 by BSN in chocolate, and man that was delicious! Somebody let me know if the True Mass chocolate flavor is as good. Say no to the vanilla.

I am 15 years old and am heavy into bodybuilding. I wanted to try this stuff, because of all the good reviews. I got the cookies and cream. God almighty, it tasted HORRIBLE! so sweet I could not even drink it. I tried it in water, milk, and chocolate soy milk. It was just so sweet I coulndt even drink half of it. I'm giving this product 3 stars for the benefit of the doubt,a nd I plan on buying either chocolate or strawberry instead. From what I've read, those seem to be very good. However, do not buy the cookies and cream flavor, unless you love INSANELY sweet things.

UPDATE FOR MAY 03 IS UP!

UPDATE FOR SECOND CONTAINER FOR JUNE 06 IS UP!!

This is a review based on my experience. I am a real person and I am not paid by no company to review this, so everything is told as how it is.

I got this product extremely quickly from AMAZON. After it was shipped, it usually comes to me in a day or two with the free shipping method, which I'm very happy and satisfied with. UPS handling it is a whole 'nother thing since they more often than not tend to use my package as a basketball.

I got the chocolate milk shake and so far I would like to note a few pros and cons and extra side notes to whoever is interested.

MY PURPOSE FOR TAKING THIS:
1. Weight gaining
2. Working out like mad afterward to turn it into muscle since I tend to retain muscle a bit better than fat.

I have a super high metabolism, not to mention my family tends to eat healthy (leaning to vegetarian style) so that just makes it even harder to gain. I'm 125 lbs and am trying to get to 140-150.

Pros:
1. The taste of the chocolate milk shake is pretty decent! I avoid vanilla like the plague because it'll remind me of ensure which after a day to a week of drinking just makes me sick to my stomach even to think about it. The chocolate taste actually tastes pretty decent even though it does get to me if I drink it more than twice a day.

2. Scoops are moderately sized and I calculated the calorie and find that this container contains a total of more calories. Don't be fooled by other gainers that have more calories per serving. This is so because their scoops are bigger and they also have less servings per container. This container gives you 18x630 = 11,340 calories. Mix it with milk and you get even more nutrition and calorie.

Cons:
1. Well it is not too much of a con but if you want to mix this with a liquid, the best way to get uniform mixture is with a blender. I've tried mixing with a spoon and just adding the powder with milk and all you end up with a bunch of chunks you have to break down which is time consuming. I also tried putting the mixture with milk into a large bottle and giving it a good shake. You'll still end up with chunks. So a blender is almost a must if you really want to drink it and enjoy the full quality of the taste.

UPDATE: You can mix it pretty well with method #2 in which you put the powder and liquid into a bottle and give it a good shake. However, you must shake it for awhile. Let it sit for a bit and give it another good shake. If you find that you're still getting some undissolved bits, adding a bit more liquid should help. This method makes it a bit more convenient than setting up a blender.

2. It makes me gassy. Some people here say it doesn't give them much gas, but think about it. You have to shake this up a lot meaning there's a lot of bubbles in the water. You gulping it down means you'll also be gulping down the tiny air bubbles that'll eventually build up in your stomach. There's really no way around it. So for someone to tell you that stuff like this doesn't give you any gas leaves a big question mark, guess it's just them.

3. It makes me feel somewhat bloated, partially caused by con #2. I feel quite bloated for a few hours at the least and continuously attempt to burp myself.

4. I had a mild side expectation that drinking this nutritious and calorie packed drink would somehow increase my energy, however, I've actually started to feel quite lethargic. Maybe even more than usual.

5. Like I said, the taste is pretty good but the bottle recommends drinking 1-4 servings a day. One serving is 3 scoops mixed with 16oz of liquid. I can only drink 1 serving a day, 4 servings a day would probably kill me. Chocolate milkshake is decent once in awhile but I am barely able to keep up with 1 serving a day. Too much of even a good thing could make it a bad thing if you know what I mean. 4 servings a day? Yeah.....right. I was thinking about taking less liquid and making a more condense mixture of it to accomplish 2 servings a day, but this think is $31-38! Can't afford it even if I could drink it fast.

RESULTS (Will continuously update)

Even with all the cons I still would take this and I'm pretty decent with it. So far I bought two containers and will try it out for two months or until the two containers end. So far I've had this for a few days only. I got this on the 15th of April and so far I've drank this for 5 days straight.

My weight was 125LBs and I am now 128-130LBs, however, I wouldn't jump for joy yet because I think it is because of the weight of all the food I have in my stomach. I weight lift and do workouts quite a bit, but have lately become a bit lazier. My muscles seemed a bit more pump, but I really need to gain more weight for it to really show. I will give you more updates after I finish my first container. This review is mainly my personal opinion in terms of taking the stuff.

If this indeed helps me gain weight, then I should be hitting 135lbs, if I stay at 130lbs that means its just food weight...

UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!! May 03, 2010

I stopped drinking this yesterday on the 2nd and have now finished my first bottle after 17 days. On a day or two I did take two servings, but mostly kept with one serving a day or one serving with an additional of one extra scoop into the mix.

I was about 125lbs before and now I am around 132lbs. So based on my estimate, I have gained from 5-7 lbs. I am mildly satisfied so far, I was really aiming for 10 pounds, especially since I mixed it with milk and ate quite a bit extra. So far drinking this I've noticed the following:

1. Makes me extra lethargic, I especially get sleepy after drinking a lot of this. I'm guessing it has to deal with me being naturally depressed and hormonally imbalance (if I judge a product, I bring every factor into mind to be fair). I'm usually sleepy and lethargic, however, this seems to make me a bit more sluggish than usual.

2. A bit faster recovery when doing exercise. It does help me recover from exercise injuries and aches a little faster than usual. What usually takes a week or so now only takes 2-3 days. I've noticed this a few times.

3. In terms of helping to gain muscles, I'm not sure yet. I get a mix feeling so I'll leave it at that.

4. One thing I notice as well is that my weight gains seemed to have stopped or slowed considerably a little over half way of finishing this container. So for the first half of the container, I noticed good results, then it slowly stopped towards the last few days I drank this.

------------------------
UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!! JUNE 06, 2010

Hey everyone, I'm back! Well I'm almost pretty much done with my second container and so far this is my finding. For the last month I've been drinking 1/2 to 1 serving a day and mixing it with Gold Standard 100% Whey (search it on here if you're curious).

The first few days after taking this I noticed no weight gains whatsoever, so I stopped taking it until two weeks ago I joined a gym with all the weights that I wanted/needed since I live in a small apartment, being a poor student. That's also the time when I started combining this with WHEY.

So since then, after drinking 1/2 to a serving a day and sometimes mixing it with a serving of Whey, I noticed some weight gains. I think after finishing up the bottle, I might have gained 3-4 lbs. Based on my observation this is what I've partially concluded:

Also heads up that my metabolism is very high.

Full and probably final conclusion:

1. I find for myself that the most weight gain came from my first container and only during that time when I exercised vigorously after and before drinking the servings. Vigorously is like a few times a day, maybe 30 minutes at a time give or take. I believe that working out is a huge importance because during the last few servings that I took of this, I was a bit lazy in exercising and I noticed very little or no gains whatsoever during that time.

2. The second bottle, my estimation, after finishing it I would have probably gained only 3-4 lbs. My thoughts on this is that I gained so much on my first bottle because due to how skinny I was, my body quickly and greedily absorbed the calories and gained the weight. However, due to my body type as well, it reached a limit where the calories could only sustain what I currently have and not gain as fast as I did. Basically my body was satisfied and my weight was balanced, especially to the kind of diet I normally take.

Am I satisfied with my current weight? I now weigh 136 from 125lbs. I look at myself and I'm a lot better. I think based on every person's body type, age, race, etc, you gain different results and your limits on how much you gain changes. I'm always known to be of the smaller body type, you know what I mean right? Some people look skinny but when you get near them they have a big body frame while others look buff but have a smaller body frame. I have a smaller body frame and I've always been known for it, it's hard to change that, some people just have a more naturally larger body frame to begin with. I mean sure you can work on it but you can do just so much until you start to look freaky because that's not how your body naturally is, proportions also depending on height.

When taking this, you need to also eat some foods that have a lot of good calories as well. I'm not too knowledgeable in this area so I would suggest googling up how to gain weight. Working out is a big key at least to me. I've never known any significant gain in drinking this and sitting on my butt all day. That's why I drank it with Gold Standard Whey mixed in. With it, I get calories and proteins that repair my body so I can work out more often.

I have noticed that by drinking both, especially the Whey, I do notice that my muscles recover significantly faster than before. You should try a bottle first and decide on a second later. Workout and eat multiple meals a day. I think the gains will gradually decrease until you see little or no more gains. You should have enough info by then to decide whether to continue or not. Unless you are serious about body building, the best thing to understand is that sometimes you should just be happy with what you have. I learned that gaining weight is neat, working out gives you a better figure, but I've learned to appreciate my fast metabolism and body type a lot more.

I'm satisfied, I'm actually starting to look a little too buff for my build. I really don't want to be looking like a muscle head....

My Favorite Protein Supplement!

Review Date: April 7, 2009
Reviewer: Billy Simmons, Frederick, MD
This is my favorite protein supplement for the following reasons:

*6 Different Proteins - Each one of these proteins is absorbed at different rates. Which provides your body with new proteins as time passses.

*Very decent flavor.. I have tried Cookies and Cream, Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Cream

*Nice packaging

*This product is reasonably priced for what you get.

The only thing that would make this a more complete muscle building supplement would be creatine.
Neat packaging; if only it was substantial & not so misleading to the normal eye.

I wish I would've paid attention to the ingredients a little bit more and noticed that this conatains that garbage of a product name "Splenda". It's conveniently named "Sucralose" to trick you into believing it's natural. Besides the fact that there are studies proving its harmful effects on the body, it also leaves one the worst aftertaste I've tasted. I've studied nutrition, so I'm actually ashamed that I've been this easily mislead. Do yourself a favor and buy a product with Dextrose or Fructose as a primary sweetener; you'll be thankful later with your uptake and absorption.

Reviewer: David G. Pearson,
This is my 4rth tub of this stuff and i really like it alot. It mixes very well with a protein shaker and the taste is just as good as muscle milk but not as sweet. I use 2 scoops instead of 3. I havent noticed any major gains with it but its gonna be the same no matter what you take protein wise. Use this to suppliment your whole foods when trying to reach your calorie goals.
Did no actual benefit

I have to admit it tasted better then most proteins/weight gainers. Except it didnt really help me gain at all. I'm like almost done with whole 5 pound jug and gain like one pound. Maybe it wasn best product for me but it did nothing for my benefit at all. I ate like maniac on top of drinking it twice a day and got nada. So if you want to get this product go for it it's be like milk shake at mcdonalds, but if you want real gains try another, True mass just didnt do it for me

I am very pleased with the results of this product. I've used other proteins and supplements before, but with results lacking. After using this product for just a few weeks, I noticed a big difference in muscle mass. Although my finicky 15 year old son couldn't handle the taste, I found it quite tasty in comparison to the others I've had.
between TRUE MASS & SYNTHA-6

Review Date: February 10, 2010
Reviewer: Charlie Nguyen, Orange County, CA
I just ordered BSN's TRUE MASS after using BSN's SYNTHA-6 for several months I felt I needed more muscle gains. I didn't really want a "weight gainer" at first and look all beefy, just toned up and with Syntha-6, i saw results surely but slowly. I have a high metabolism and with a hectic work schedule it doesn't allow me to intake as much calories as I should be in order to "gain muscle mass" all Syntha-6 was doing was toning my muscles up. Even with a regular routine I'm at the same weight. So I decided to take on True-Mass; a few of my friends have tried it and has gained "mass" within weeks... so I wanted to see how that will fair up to just doing Syntha-6 "protein."

Honestly its only been a few days and I've been feeling the recovery process going by quickly, but I'll give it a few more weeks to see if I've gained those "lean muscle mass" I've been wanting.. Currently I'm at 5'9" 140lbs now.. will update with this later.

BUT once I've gained my muscles mass goal, I'll be going back to Syntha-6. ONLY because it tastes ALOT better!!! like a creamy chocolate Milkshake. With TrueMass Chocolate Milkshake it does taste like a typical protein shake which I don't really like and also like other reviews on here the True Mass Chocolate Milkshake makes you feel bloated.. I'm going to try the STRAWBERRY Milkshake next time as I heard some Good Reviews about that.. But can't complain bout the taste if its going to do the job.

The product seems to offer a big bang for your buck. The taste is okay at best on a good day. I have had better, much better. I think Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate protein powder is much better tasting. As for the protein content, you have to use three scoops to get the full protein load they claim and that gives you well over 600 calories plus any additional cals from the drink (milk) you put it in. I'll use this as long as I can tolerate the taste but when it is gone I'm going back to Optimum Nutrition stuff. (Less calories, better taste, equal cost)

I am amazed that this stuff really works as an african american female who suffered form hideous and painful razor bumps. I am soooo happy that I finally broke down and tried this product out for not only did it virtually illiminate my razor bumps but I no longer suffer from the severe itching of newly grown hairs and the hairs don't grow back as quickly. As I consumer I firmly believe that if a product claims to do something it should do just that which holds true for this product.
who can tell if it even works? Vastly overpriced

This stuff is supposed to help razor burn, ingrown hairs. Honestly after all the time using it I can't honestly say if it works. What I can say is that it smells terrible. Not a weak terrible smell, but a strong, overpowering stink.
It also burns like crazy when you put it on.

The Tend Skin company puts out this story about a miraculous discovery - a dentists patient came to him after a tooth extraction and raved that whatever the anesthetic was that he was given, it had cured his ingrown hairs.

Well, there are three ingredients in tend skin - alcohol, glycerin, and aspirin. Thats it.
So apparently this dental patient had been cured of ingrown hairs by taking an aspirin.

Bottom line is, this product is insanely overpriced, and they hide it with this distortion, this silly propaganda about its "miraculous discovery."

A little bottle of alcohol and aspirin should cost a tenth of this.
not as good as it used to be

I've used this product off and on several times over the last few years. At first it was much more potent and worked almost instantly to cure razor bumps and irritation. However, i've noticed over the last couple of years or so the price continues to increase and the product itself seems more diluted and less effective. My last expensive bottle has almost no effect on my skin whatsoever. And I do use it as directed.

My advice would be to save a lot of money and use Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent (with salicylic acid). It is just as effective, if not more so than TendSkin.

I really do not feel tend skin works as advertised. The irritation to my neck persisted and if anything had only gotten worse after applying as instructed. One good thing is that you if you are like me and have trouble waking up in the morning --- tend skin helps for that! Just take a strong whiff and you'll be alert and ready for your day!
I used to love this product until last weekend.

I have always had problems with razor burn and shaving issues overall. It used to be a disaster and I was introduced and used Tend Skin for the past two or three years now. I got a sample of Solution 2 out in the Hamptons last weekend and I could not possibly be happier. It is a significant improvement over Tend Skin--the roller ball applicator is brilliant and I have officially (thankfully) pitched my cotton ball bag. It does not sting nearly as much as Tend Skin. It smells so much better (actually pretty good!) and it works better too. I used to get very dry patches on my neck from using Tend Skin but I have had no dryness issues with Solution 2. I used to have a strict regimen using Tend Skin in order to get through my shaving procedure. Now, I roll on the Solution 2 and it's all good:)
No Thank You

I bought this stuff because I heard it helped with razor burn. My husband likes me to shave a bit more often than I liked, well, too bad for him!! The pain from putting this stuff on was WAY WORSE than any sort of razor burn! No thanks!!
You are buying rubbing alcohol!

Look up the ingredients yourself. I foolishly bought this for my bikini line, because what good is hair removal if it is replaced by bumps? But, after I got it and used it (it did work a little) I noticed that it is mostly alcohol, a little aspirin, another ingredient common in any moisturizer and then Propylene Glycol...which is the main ingredient in antifreeze. Save yourself some money and go buy a 50 cent bottle of rubbing alcohol....I did, and it works just as well.
I LOVE Tend Skin!!! The best to prevent and treat ingrowns!!! (For bikini and face)

I have been using Tend Skin to prevent and treat ingrowns in my bikini area for about 10 years. I still get a couple ingrowns a year but they go away in a week or so while using Tend Skin. I recently tried another product called Princereigns (for several weeks) but it was awful --- I got more ingrowns than I've ever gotten in my life. I am now back on Tend Skin and the ingrowns are already on their way out. Tend Skin works for me. My husband uses it on his face and he rarely gets razor bumps and ingrowns after I introduced him to Tend Skin.

Cons: It might dry your skin so just remember to use a good moisturizing lotion after use. It doesn't smell pleasant but the smell doesn't last once you put it on.

How to use Tend Skin: Squirt some Tend Skin on a cotton ball and apply on your skin. If you wax your bikini area, you may want to wait 2-3 days before applying Tend Skin. After you wax, your skin is super sensitive and Tend Skin may be too strong at that point. After 2-3 days, you can start to use Tend Skin twice a day. Always apply moisturizing lotion to prevent skin from over-drying.

It Works

I'm one of those guys who shaved with a razor for awhile and wondered why I got all those red bumps on my neck. Well, it got so bad that I finally went online and did some research. After googling razor bumps Tend Skin came up. It seemed like many people had a good experience with it so I bought some. Also switched to an electric razor instead of a blade razor.

Amazingly, I saw results within the first 4-5 hours of using this stuff - a lot of the smaller red bumps disappeared entirely. The big red bumps seemed to shrink noticeably. (Yes, you see the results within 24 hours... at least I did).

The first thing you notice is the smell - it has a sharp (but not necessarily strong) vinegar smell. Ok, so you wouldn't want to bathe in this stuff... Second, you notice it stings (like rubbing alcohol) on your skin for ONLY 1-2 seconds. Interesting but for what it does, I can live with that.

Well, I've been using this stuff for over a handful of days now and 90% of my razor burn/ingrown hairs are GONE. This stuff is amazing...

I use this stuff 2 times a day (morning/night - after shaving). In the morning I use a Q tip and lightly dab the razor bumps. In the evening I use a Cotton Ball and get more on my neck/face. I've used this stuff for almost a week now and I have yet to use anywhere near 10% of the bottle so it will last a very LONG time (months at this rate). Now that most of my razor bumps are gone I'm using less and less as well.

Anyone suffering from razor burn/ingrown neck hair like me - get this and you won't be disappointed.

Some shaving advice: If shaving with a razor - do not shave against the grain (this will cause razor bumps). If shaving with an electric razor - shave against the grain. If you have razor bumps stop using a razor and get an electric.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

This product works great!!! I use it on my bikini line to ward off ingrown hairs. My husband uses it on his neck for the same reason. We both love it. All the complaints about the smell make it seem like you are going to stink if you use this. That is not the case. Compare it to using rubbing alcohol to clean a cut, once it drys you can't smell it. Same thing with this product. I would recommed this to anyone & everyone.

I first tried Tend Skin from an article in a beauty magazine. I first bought it from Sephora, and the worker there told me it does hurt when you put it on..but it's worth it. I do agree that it does sting when you put it on after shaving, but it's the only thing that has stopped my sensitive skin from breaking out in rashes or bumps. As far as preventing in-grown hairs, it does help. It doesn't prevent them totally, but with a combination of exfoliating and using Tend Skin, I've found that it works pretty well.
Excellent

I don't know why nobody else likes this product, but so far it's the only one that works for my ingrown facial hairs..

Yes, it stings a bit when I put it on, but it quickly goes away.
It doesn't dry my skin out, it actually helps get rid of the dry, white-looking flaky skin after I shave.

I used to get ingrown hairs so bad on my face that they would be there for MONTHS. Eventually I'd get to the point of having to do my own surgery with a needle to try and extract the hair.

If I get an ingrown hair now, I just use Tend Skin once in the morning and once before bed, and it actually extracts the hair on it's own! It gets rid of the redness and swelling also associated with ingrown hairs.
For the only time in my life my face actually looks clear, and Tend Skin is the product that has done it for me.

Before I finish, I'd just like to add that I'm the kind of person that NOTHING ever works on. Any product I try, never does as advertised. Whether it be shampoo, deodorant, medication, etc.
Tend Skin is one of the rarities that actually DOES work for me.
And believe me, I've tried a LOT of products for ingrown hairs.

This product must be made of PURE ALCOHOL. It smells like it and i have never been in SO MUCH PAIN after putting something on my skin before. I had to wash it off with cold water and my skin was very red and sore to the touch for the rest of the day. I have no idea who this product is made for but they must not have any nerves in their skin or something. My guess is that you can remove paint with it which is all I think it is good for.
Only Product That Works

I have curly hair (curly-haired people are more prone to ingrown hairs since the hair grows in at an angle) and used to have horrible, painful red bumps in my armpits, on my legs, and bikini line. I tried exfoliating scrubs (only worked for the day you used it) and using a brand new razor blade daily (didn't change anything). Then my hair stylist recommended Tend Skin a year ago and it DID work. My armpits cleared up within days and my bikini line and legs cleared up in weeks.

As Katie has mentioned, it does have a scent to it; I think it smells like strong rubbing alcohol. But the scent goes away once it dries on your skin, so no other person will smell it.

It does sting a tiny bit, but the sting goes away quickly. The sting is no different than if you've ever used alcohol-based after shave on razor burn. If it really stings, you're probably using too much Tend Skin. My guess is some of you are bathing in this stuff instead of using a small amount.

With any medication or personal beauty/hygiene product, there's a chance you may be allergic to it or it may cause side effects (rashes, reddened skin, etc.). Just because two people on Amazon say they developed a rash, does not mean you will have any issues with Tend Skin. As always, do a spot test (like the label instructions say) before using this all over your face (or body).
Not recommended.

I have used this product for a year now. Yes, it pretty much works but it burns something HORRIBLE. I literally need to prepare for it. Also, I don't understand how I am supposed to use it on my neck! I guess they want me to use a cotton ball or pour it onto my hand and slap it on there like after shave??? Probably the only thing that I really liked about it was the gold cap but that got all CRUSTY after a few uses because the alcohol literally ate off some of the gold paint.
By Far The Best Product Out There For Razor Bumps!

By far the best product out there for razor bumps, dont waste your time with all the other stuff, nothing beats Tend Skin... I have been using tend skin for years and it WORKS! TIP! best way to apply this product is to hold the bottle up to your neck and let it drip on the affected areas, if you use a cotton ball or swap etc, you will not get the best results, i did this my first year and let me tell you, once i started doing the hold the bottle up to your neck trick it was a world of a difference. This product is so good that i think its better than getting Laser removal. Finally if you are like me and grow a beard in 3 hours and need to shave everyday, i recommend you get a Whal T-Razor electric shaver (The Red One), this thing has saved me, use that with Tend SKin and you will be able to shave everyday, YES EVERYDAY!! Thank you Tend Skin for making this product, bottle usually last me 1 year, I apply it every other day... Hope this helps...
luv it!!

Tend Skin is the best aftershave product I have ever used. I have relied on this product for almost 10 years as part of my daily skin care ritual and refuse to use anything else- it's great for preventing and/or treating razor burn bumps after a fresh shave just as well as in-growns after a waxing. I have even used it as spot treatment on a pimple or two with great results. :) When I first started waxing, I was very prone to a ton of in-growns, but since I started using this at the advice of my aesthetician of the time, I have had maybe 2 or 3. I even force it on my stubborn husband when he starts to complain of razor burn bumps on his neck. That's pretty good stuff!

My friend bought this for me for christmas, and it may be the best gift I have ever received. It got rid of 95 percend of my ingrown hairs in about 3 days. I use it everytime I shave. The only downside is the mild vinegar smell afterwards. A small price to pay for a nice face.

I was turned onto this product by a spa I frequented. When I asked if the product really worked, they said that it absolutely did, and that, in fact, they could not keep it in stock. So, I tried a small bottle and they were definitely correct. I was a little concerned about using this product because I have very fair and sensitive skin, but for years I've struggled with razor burn on my legs and with ingrown hairs in my bikini and underarm areas. However, this product has drastically reduced both problems for me, almost to the point of curing me completely, with no negative effects whatsoever. I highly recommend this product!

I have used Tend Skin for 5 or 6 years, I started using it after reading about it in a magazine (don't remember which one). I have a different problem than most people, I have ingrown hairs on my legs. The ingrown hairs on my legs are not from shaving but are hereditary, my mother had them and my brothers and I have had them since we were little. The ingrown hairs don't bother my brothers, but, since I am a girl they have always been embarrasing to me. Tend Skin is the only thing that has rid me of these bumps completely. I know some people have had a bad esperience with Tend Skin but I have always been satisfied, also, I don't think the formula has changed or been "watered down" at all, I've never seen any change in the results I get.

I have used the Kerastase Line for a long time however this product in particular is a must have. It conditions as it straightens and de-frizzes your hair. The product is concentrated and a little goes a long way. It leaves your hair shiney and manageable, not greasy or oily and weighed down like some serums or oils do. All hair types can benefit from it EXCEPT fine or thin hair.

I live by this product. I have been getting brazilian waxes for over 5 years and ever since I found this product, I no longer have problems with ingrown hairs. Every now and then I will get an ingrown hair, but I just dab a little tend skin on it and within a day or two, it goes away. My husband uses this product on his face and he also notices less ingrown hairs. If you wax down under (women) or shave your face and neck (men), then this product is a must in your bath cabinet.

I've been reading the promotional ads on this product for years -- but doubted the claims. I have had repeat ingrown facial hair issues after plucking. I decided to try Tend Skin. Used with discretion (it clears the follicle but dries the surface) this is an amazing product. A side benefit is that it exfoliates dead skin and leaves skin smooth. The smell is not very pleasant, and the glycerine film after the dry-down make it unsuitable as a "toner" but it is probably not intended for daily or frequent use. Only the oiliest skin could handle it daily. Follow the directions and you will get the promised result -- the clogged pore will open. Here's another surprise use -- it stops the itch of insect bites ON CONTACT. I am extremely sensitive to mosquito bites and nothing has helped -- not hydrocortisone, nor commercial remedies. I had a feeling I should try this on an especially nasty red mosquito bite that was keeping me awake, and several drops on a cotton ball pressed against the bite stopped the itch and reduced the swelling instantly. I will keep a bottle of this handy.
It hurts!

I don't shave too often, so until recently I had used the more generic brand items to mitigate razor burn. I was optimistic about an upgrade, but disappointed shortly after when I used this product. It was rather abrasive, and left a light rash on my skin for about an hour after use.

This is the only thing that has worked for me. The bikini area is such a sensitive area, so I was worried it would irritate it further. If you wait a couple minutes after you get out of the shower, it hurts less, but after a few weeks its wonderful and I don't even have to use it every day anymore! Only downfall is the smell, it goes away really fast but is kind of stinky.

Four stars since I dont know how it will work if I shave more regularly.

I had lots of trouble with ingrown hair on my legs for about a year after waxing. Even though I had pretty much stopped shaving for 6 months, all the ingrown hair did not break through. I have really dark scars from them. I have been using this product for the past one month and all but one have broken through and even my old scars are just starting to fade. I have shaved once after I started using this but have not had too much of a problem with ingrown hair except for the slight itchy feeling in certain areas once in a while. Also, I have been using it only once in about every two/three days after the first week when I used it everyday.
The ingredients seem to be aspirin and rubbing alcohol which are quite cheap and should be able to make this at home for a lot less. But it is working so well that I am reluctant to experiment with homemade stuff though this is expensive..... I am through with half the bottle already in a month.
I am going to try shaving twice/thrice a week and see if it still works.

I have rebellious, wild, curly, frizzy hair. I used to use strong hold gels + hair spray to hold my hair in place for almost all my life UNTIL my hair dresser introduced kerastase oleo relax series to me. This serum is really really very good. I use it together with "Kerastase Nutritive Lait Nutri Sculpt Smoothing Hair Foundation Dry and Sensitived Hair" I just use a little bit of each and my hair becomes managable. Right now, I have shoulder lenght hair that has soft and smooth waves with no frizz thanks to these products. I definitely recommend this product if you are tired of crunchy hair held in place with 'strong'hold' gels.

I have *really* sensitive skin and I get razor bumps on my neck, so I decided to give this a try. I still get razor bumps, but to a much lesser degree than I used to. After shaving, I use a cotton "round" that I have sprayed lightly with water and then doused with Tend Skin. I go over my whole face with it. It's amazing how much dirt comes off of my face--even after washing! I try to do this twice a day and my face seems to be gradually clearing up as a result. There are very few skin products that I can use without getting a rash, but this is one of the few products that seems to work for me. Buy with confidence. You may also want to try the deodorant that they manufacture. It's another great product.

I've had an ingrown hair issue post-shaving for quite some time. Nothing I did seemed to work, such as using a depilatory, exfoliating post-shave, etc. At the end of my rope I tried Tend Skin and I have been very impressed. The red & raised ingrown hair bumps disappear within a day or two of using the product. I highly recommend this product to try if you have this problem as well.
The only con I have is that it has a vinegar smell that seems to linger on the skin.

This product works very well. I work in the skin care industry, and I decided to use the product after my boss told me she uses it for her bikini area.

I always get mild to moderate razor bumps when I shave my neck. The only way I could avoid it was to shave very carefully and slowly while constantly cleaning the razor with rubbing alcohol.

Now I shave normally with a regular cartridge razor (mach3) and use Tend Skin afterwords. I do not get razor bumps and I only use very little of the product.

****However, the top ingredient in the product is Isopropyl Alcohol. So you should put a lightweight SPF 30 after Tend Skin dries. Lot of people ruin their skin after using Isopropyl alcohol based products and going out in the sun.

4 Stars only because they should recommend using sunscreen after use. And, the product smells a little strange.

Since i started using this product, I've been approached by no less than five women asking me what I use to keep my skin clear. Before, i would avoid shaving because of unsightly razor bumps, ingrown hairs and other annoying problems. Within less than an hour of using this the first time, i achieved noticeable results. My skin was soft to the touch, skin tone started to even out and no more razor bumps.

I had to travel on business for a two week period and had my original 12oz bottle confiscated by the TSA and within less than a week, the razor bumps returned. I'll never shave again without having a supply of Tend Skin close by.

ingredients:isopropyl alcohol, water, propylene glycol, acetylsalicylic acid, cyclomethicone, glycerin. I'm a bikini bump person and when I saw all the alcohol I was disappointed. First of all that's why it smells so bad and burns. I have used alcohol on my bikini line before and it didn't work well enough to continue use but the Tend did get rid of the red spots and bump in 5 days so one of the other ingredients must be helping. I have very fine hair that just grows under the skin rather then coming through so Tend does not work completely on prevention for me but I can see how this would help daily shavers. This worked well enough to justify giving another similar and equally expensive product a try to find my perfect fit.

Product Description

When describing the 5-Hour Energy feeling, some people say it's "like the sun coming up in my head." That's because when you're feeling groggy and lethargic, 5-Hour Energy wakes up your brain and gets you back to feeling the way you want to feel bright, alert, focused and energetic. What you won't feel is jittery, or crash. That's because, unlike other energy drinks, 5-Hour Energy doesn't jack you up with sugar, caffeine and herbal stimulants. Instead, it's packed with stuff that's good for you B-vitamins, amino acids and enzymes. To get anything out of those canned energy drinks you have to force down a lot of liquid up to 24 ounces for some of them. It takes just seconds to slam down a 2-ounce 5-Hour Energy shot. That means its energizing ingredients get into your system faster. In a few minutes you can feel 5-Hour Energy brushing away the cobwebs and helping you regain the alert, focused feeling you need to get through your day. Canned energy drinks give you a lot of sugar, caffeine and herbal stimulants which can make you feel jittery, shaky or tense. But 5-Hour Energy's blend of vitamins, amino acids and enzymes gives you hours of "smooth energy." We named it 5-Hour Energy for a reason. People typically feel an elevated sense of energy, focus and alertness for about five hours. Individual results will vary, of course. And when that feeling wears off, it does so gently. Other energy drinks can make you feel jittery and tense for a short time then let you down with a crash leaving you feeling worse than before. * Picture may be of different size or flavor
